This year Nta UGC NET Exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from 20, 21 June, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 June, 2019 in various subjects at selected Examination Centers spread across the country for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). UGC NET is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility ‘only for Assistant Professor’ and ‘for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor both’ in Indian Universities and Colleges.

The examination authority NTA decides UGC NET 2019 cut off score in two ways. At first, candidates are shortlisted based on qualifying marks (category wise) followed by preparation of merit list as per the scored marks. Based on UGC NET cut off 2019, only 6% candidates to be selected for Assistant/Associate Professorship. And, for awarding JRF, examination authority selects a certain number of candidates having high rank in Assistant/Associate Professorship. Factors Determining Nta Ugc Net December 2018 Cut Off

The examination authority determines the cut off of UGC NET 2019 taking the following factors into consideration:

  • Total number of candidates appeared for the test

  • Total number of vacancies

  • Difficulty level of the question paper

Nta Ugc Net December 2018 Cut off for Paper I & II: Category wise Qualifying marks

Candidates have to secure qualifying marks in both the 2 papers of NTA UGC NET 2019 in order to get shortlisted for JRF or Assistant Professorship. The UGC NET qualifying marks for General category candidates is 40% in Paper I and II. While the qualifying marks for reserved category candidates is 35% in Paper I & II. The exam authority has determined a minimum marks that must be scored by the candidates to pass the examination. Candidates have to secure qualifying marks in two papers of UGC NET in order to get shortlisted for JRF or Assistant Professorship. The table below shows category wise
